Spring Break Academic Training Camp 2013 for Middle School and High School Students- Stay Tuned

When: Spring Break 2013. Camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Where: FIU Center for Children and Families (University Park Campus)
Description: Spring Break Academic Training Camp is an opportunity for middle and high school students with ADHD (grades 6th-12th) to receive intensive instruction, training, and practice in academic and organization skills. Trained undergraduate and graduate counselors provide one-on-one support to your child with specific program goals:
1) Complete current missing assignments and create a plan reducing missing work in the future.
2) Organize school materials and create an organization system and a plan for monitoring this system.
3) Prepare for upcoming tests and quizzes and learn how to study effectively for future tests.
4) Receive intensive instruction in note-taking from lecture and textbooks.
Recreational activities also occur during the program day. Staff members work with parents to promote continued use of Academic Training Camp Strategies.
