About CCF
Welcome to the Center for Children and Families (CCF) at Florida
International University. The mission of the CCF is to study the etiology,
mechanisms, and treatment of mental health and learning difficulties of
children and adolescents, and to provide education and services for their
families and the professionals who work with them.
Our goals are (1) to increase knowledge of mental health and learning problems
of youth, (2) to promote the development of effective treatments and
prevention, and (3) to disseminate this information to professionals in mental
health, education, and primary care. In addition, we provide state-of-the-art
services to children and families in South Florida.
Our website has user-friendly information for parents, teachers, students, and professionals. We encourage visitors to
download our fact sheets, treatment templates, posters, and PowerPoint
presentations, as well as to view recent presentations from our Speaker Series. Don't forget to check for
space availability at our upcoming Biennial Conference on Evidence-based
Treatments in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
Please tell others about our website and contact us if you have feedback that would
help us to improve it.
