Supporting Teens' Academic Needs Daily (STAND)
The Center for Children and Families (CCF) at FIU is pleased to offer Clinical Services for Teens with ADHD.
Who is Eligible: This service is open to 6th - 12th grade students that are currently struggling with problems related to disorganization, time management, and academic underperformance at school.
What is it: STAND is a family-based intervention that teaches parents and adolescents to work together to set academic goals and to reinforce success on these goals through a comprehensive home privilege program. A STAND clinician is assigned to your family to coach you and your child on the use of organization practices, home-school communication, creating a homework plan, and other interventions as needed.
